Happy Thanksgiving

Greetings from Thailand and we would like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving.  It has been a long journey getting here and once we arrived, we had to quarantine for 2 weeks in a hotel, take 3 covid test during that time.  Quarantining was not much fun, but we survived and praise God for helping us.

After we finished quarantine, we rented a van and driver to go about 8 hours from Bangkok to Chiangmai.   We were able to stay at a mission that use to be a part of the China Inland Mission. The organization that Hudson Taylor started.  We stayed there for a month to get a few things set up and to find housing.  We enrolled the kids in a school with the core classes in English, yet they also have Chinese and Thai.  I also started teaching at another school.  I was there for two weeks before a student of mine had Covid.

Because of the Covid, the school was closed for some time, and I needed to go for a Covid test.  Praise God for his help because the place that was to get tested had no English and I was very lost.  God prepared a student of mine to also be there and provided the help that I needed.  After my test, once again my family needed to quarantine.  The good thing this time we did not have to stay in a hotel.  We were in our own place and could walk out into the small yard.

Needless to say. Because covid has been such an issue here in Chiangmai meeting people has been a bit difficult.  Our neighbor, a Thai lady named June has been helpful and we have been able to share with her a little bit. We ask that you continue to pray with us about being able to lead her to Him.

We have made a few Chinese connections however, nothing to report on at this point.  Your continual prayer is much apricated.  Our two biggest difficulties have been Covid and Visa issues.  Right now, we are trying to get student visas.  Our kids will be easy to change.  Now just working on my visa.  I enrolled in a school and should know within 2 weeks if I can get the visa at which point my wife will be a dependent under me.  We thank you for your prayers in these matters.  Also please pray that we will be able to see some fruit soon.
